AdPha Event: Clinical Trials in Pharmacy

The AdPha WA Branch invites you to this hybrid presentation for an engaging panel event featuring experienced pharmacists who will share their personal career journeys, from their early days in the profession to how they found their path into the clinical trials space.
Each panellist will provide insight into the experiences, opportunities, challenges, and key decisions that shaped their career. Following these individual stories, the speakers will come together for a moderated panel discussion where they'll answer questions about working in clinical trials, career development, and the realities of the field.
There will also be an opportunity for audience members to ask their own questions directly to the panellists, making this a great chance to connect, gain real-world insights, and be inspired by those who have successfully navigated this growing area of pharmacy practice
This event is hybrid - with the option to join either in-person or virtually.

This interactive networking event involves a series of short conversations between each mentee and mentor, providing an excellent opportunity to meet and network with a diverse group of successful pharmacists, gather information and empower you to take the next steps toward your future career. This will suit final year pharmacy students, early career pharmacists as well as established pharmacists looking for a change within their pharmacy career!

🌿 Lifestyle Medicine for Future Pharmacists

Did you know that many of the leading causes of chronic disease are strongly influenced by everyday lifestyle behaviours? Pharmacists are the most accessible healthcare professionals in the community. Therefore, we're in a unique position to help people prevent, manage and even improve chronic disease through evidence-based lifestyle interventions.
Join Dr Jenny Brockis, WA Director of the Australian Society of Lifestyle Medicine, registered medical practitioner, board-certified lifestyle medicine physician, and award-winning speaker - for an interactive workshop exploring how lifestyle medicine can complement pharmacy practice.
🧠 Learn about the six pillars of lifestyle medicine:
🥗 Healthy eating • 🏃 Physical activity • 😴 Restorative sleep • 🧘 Stress management • 🤝 Positive social connection • 🚭 Avoidance of risky substances
